Three roaming charges: £2 a day, or nothing at all.
Three's roaming charges depend almost entirely on when you signed up, not on what your plan is called. Most customers pay £2 a day in Europe, newer contracts pay £2.75, and some plans include it outright. Work out your own trip using the calculator.

How Three's roaming works
Three calls its roaming scheme Go Roam, and splits its destinations into three bands: Europe, Around the World, and Around the World Extra. Whether you pay for any of them, and how much, comes down to the date on your contract rather than the name of your plan. Two people on identical tariffs can pay different rates for the same trip.
| Where | Daily charge | Passes | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man | None | Not needed | Excluded from the daily charge entirely |
| Go Roam in Europe (49 destinations) | £2, or £2.75 if you joined from 18 December 2025 | 3 days £5 · 7 days £12 · 14 days £24 | Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey, San Marino, Vatican City |
| Go Roam Around the World (22 destinations) | £5, or £8 if you joined from 18 December 2025 | 3 days £12.50 · 7 days £30 · 14 days £60 | United States, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Israel, Hong Kong, Brazil |
| Go Roam Around the World Extra (92 destinations) | £7, or £8 if you joined from 18 December 2025 | 3 days £17.50 · 5 days £29.75 · 7 days £42 · 14 days £84 | Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Andorra, Canada, Japan, India, UAE, South Africa |
| Anywhere else | Standard rates | Not available | Anything outside the 163 Go Roam destinations, including Monaco |
From Three's own Go Roam, destination and price-guide pages, checked August 2026. Three also publishes a lower set of rates for some 24-month Lite plans taken out from 1 June 2025, and some current plans include Go Roam at no extra cost — Three's plan pages are the place to confirm which applies to you.
What are Three's roaming charges in Europe?
£2 a day if you joined or last upgraded between 1 October 2021 and 17 December 2025, which covers most Three customers roaming today. From 18 December 2025 the rate is £2.75 a day, effective 1 April 2026, and Three says it is subject to annual increases. The charge unlocks your normal UK allowance of calls, texts and data for 24 hours in any of the 49 Go Roam in Europe destinations. If you joined before 1 October 2021, Go Roam in Europe and Around the World are included in your plan at no extra cost, and several current Three plans include Go Roam too — so a good number of people pay nothing at all.
Which countries are in Three's Go Roam in Europe list?
Forty-nine. The EU member states plus Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, the Republic of Ireland, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man, San Marino and Vatican City, and the EU overseas regions — the Canaries, the Balearics, Madeira, the Azores, Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Mayotte, Réunion, Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin. One notable absence: Monaco appears in no Go Roam band at all, where EE, O2 and Vodafone all cover it. Andorra is in Go Roam Around the World Extra rather than Europe.
Is Switzerland included in Three's Europe zone?
Yes. Switzerland is on Three's Go Roam in Europe list, so it costs the same as France or Spain rather than triggering a worldwide rate. Liechtenstein is included too. This is worth knowing if you're driving through — the Alpine borders are the place where roaming bills usually go wrong, and on Three they don't.
Is Turkey included in Three's Europe zone?
No. Turkey sits in Go Roam Around the World Extra, so it costs £7 a day rather than £2, or £8 if you joined from 18 December 2025. Andorra is in the same band. If Turkey is your main destination, the gap between the Extra rate and a travel eSIM is wide enough that it's worth running the numbers rather than assuming.
Does Three cover Northern Cyprus?
Yes, but not at the European rate. Three lists it separately as "Cyprus, North (Turkey)" in the Around the World Extra band, while the Republic of Cyprus is in Go Roam in Europe. Your phone connects to a Turkish network in the north, so the price changes as you cross the line in Nicosia. Three at least covers it — O2 and EE both exclude Northern Cyprus outright.
What are Three's Go Roam zones?
Three bands. Go Roam in Europe covers 49 destinations at £2 a day, or £2.75 if you joined or upgraded from 18 December 2025. Go Roam Around the World covers 22 destinations at £5 a day. Go Roam Around the World Extra covers 92 at £7 a day. Ireland and the Isle of Man carry no daily charge at all. Anywhere outside the 163 Go Roam destinations is charged at Three's standard rates, which this site cannot estimate — Monaco is the notable example. All three lists are published in full on this page.
Which countries are in Three's Go Roam Around the World?
Twenty-two destinations at £5 a day: Australia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Macao, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the United States, Uruguay, the US Virgin Islands and Vietnam. It is the cheaper of Three's two worldwide bands, and notably does not include Turkey, Japan, India or Canada — those are all Around the World Extra.
Which countries are in Go Roam Around the World Extra?
Ninety-two destinations at £7 a day, and it is where several places people expect to find in Europe actually sit: Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Andorra, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Beyond Europe it covers Canada, Japan, India, China, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico and most of the Caribbean. Monaco is in neither worldwide band nor Europe — it is in no Go Roam band at all.
What is Three's 12GB roaming limit?
You can use up to 12GB of your data allowance each month while roaming in any Go Roam destination. Like EE's and O2's caps, it only applies if your plan allowance is larger than 12GB — on a smaller plan there is no separate roaming limit and you simply use what you have. Unusually, hitting the cap doesn't stop your data. Three lets you keep using your remaining allowance and applies a surcharge of 0.3p a megabyte, which works out around £3 a gigabyte. Three also sets a worldwide data roaming limit of £45 plus VAT a month, with alerts at 80% and 95%.
How long can I roam on Three before it charges extra?
Three's long-stay rule works differently from everyone else's, and the difference matters. If you roam exclusively in Go Roam destinations for any two complete months in a rolling 12-month period, Three says it may suspend international roaming on your account — a suspension rather than a surcharge. O2 and Vodafone both keep you connected past their limits and bill you more instead, at £3.50 and £3.84 a gigabyte. There is one useful exception: if part of a month abroad is spent somewhere that isn't a Go Roam destination, the policy doesn't apply.
Does this apply if I'm on Three pay as you go?
Differently. There is no daily roaming charge on pay as you go — instead your roaming allowance comes bundled with your Data Pack, and the size varies with the pack you bought. Three counts that inclusive roaming allowance as part of your UK allowance rather than as a separate pool, so data you use at home reduces what's left for the trip. Once the pack's allowance is gone, further data is charged at 0.3p a megabyte.

The full lists as Three publishes them, so you can check your destination without leaving the page. Band decides the price: Europe is £2 a day (£2.75 if you joined from 18 December 2025), the two worldwide bands £5 and £7. Ireland and the Isle of Man carry no daily charge at all.
